A listed wall pack lives in an equipment-approved location and can be commissioned to selected circuits. A portable generator needs an inlet, a listed interlock or transfer switch, and outdoor placement.

AJ Long Electric can include compatible listed battery equipment in the approved scope or connect customer-selected listed equipment. Portable generators stay hookup-only — we do not sell generators or do fuel work.

The written proposal separates equipment, compatible transfer or load-management work, the conductor route, protection, labeling, and the permit path. Hardwired transfer equipment typically needs an electrical permit. We confirm that for the address before the visit is scheduled. The proposal identifies the exact listed equipment without implying an unsupported manufacturer certification or product relationship.

If a $3,500–$7,500 panel upgrade or an EV circuit ($1,200–$3,500 typical; $1,200–$4,500 only for long, detached, outdoor, trenched, or otherwise complex routes; EVSE hardware separate) is already planned, coordinate the battery design on the same load calculation. Combined planning may reduce duplicate access and coordination, but the battery remains within its applicable published range and is quoted as documented scope.
