Level 2 is the usual home setup when overnight charging needs to cover a normal commute. Level 1 (a standard 120-volt outlet) is slower and is often only practical for plug-in hybrids or very short daily driving. We size the circuit from the vehicle, the selected EVSE, and the panel — not from a one-speed-fits-all figure.
A hardwired connection is the cleaner permanent install for a dedicated home charger. A NEMA 14-50 receptacle can make sense when you also want the outlet for an RV or welder, or when the equipment is customer-owned and listed for that connection. Continuous EV charging is hard on receptacle contacts, so we confirm the listed method before quoting.
We connect listed Level 2 equipment the homeowner selects, including Tesla Wall Connector, Emporia Classic and Pro, ChargePoint, and other compatible EVSE. The vehicle, connector, configured output, mounting location, and panel capacity decide the circuit — not the brand name.
