Can I add solar and an EV charger at the same time?
Yes, and it is the best time to do it. One coordinated design, with the required permits and inspections. The charger circuit goes in while the array is being installed.
Does solar mean my EV charger does not need a panel review?
No. The array adds backfeed and the charger adds load, and the panel has to carry both. We check the busbar, the breaker space, and the service size before either goes in, and a heavy-up is priced in the same proposal when the house needs it.
